but after a night of unsuccessful attempts to rip a DVD-A I am swearing off any future DVD-A purchases. DVD-A is too much work for computer audio. And Teresa has convinced me to buy about a dozen excellent Telarc SACDs at $7.98 or $13.98 a piece. As much as I hate the proprietary format of SACDs, at least I can rip the hybrid cd layer to my computer server if I prefer not to listen to the SACD layer on my univeral player.

The answer is out there Nero.
I would happy to try Nero if it will rip my DVD-As to my computer. I was under the impression that copy protection measures or watermarking would thwart such attempts.
DVD-A Explorer seems to be getting quite a following

I tried the DVD-A Explorer versions for both my PC and MAC to no avail. I also tried Mac the Ripper. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the AIX DVD-A discs that I have cannot be ripped. Which is why I was hoping Dr. AIX could confirm since I saw his post earlier and most, if not all, of the DVD-A discs that I have are from AIX Records.
