I create a DVD-A using Minnetonka bronze and I am using Onkyo DV-SP1000 to play it. there are many tick-tick on the material and also sometime there is suddenly no music for half a second or so.
Could it be my DVD writer or could it be my player ? Have no idea what went wrong.

Not sure if this will help but I found with my players especially with HDMI connections that the TV must be turned on in order to eliminate this. I hope this helps.
ticks are probably related to buffer underruns with your burners. also discwelder bronze does not have the gapless track boundary - you need to get disc welder steel or chrome to have gapless tracks (e.g. like a live recording).
Most modern burners have buffer under-run protection. If you are serious about this spring for a Plextor burner, best in the biz, got one on e-bay for around 80 bucks. Audio-DVd creator will do gapless tracks and have the tracks play back in correct order, I have problems with toast on my Mac in that regard. Nice thing about Audio DVD creator is you can select your resolution so you can get 4 hours of 24/48 onto a DVD. it's only 49 bucks or so.
