That would have been my 'high-value' big bang for the buck choice if I didn't already have a streamer. The WiiM Ultra isn't the cheapest of the cheap but paying a little more gets you a LOT more, and it's still very reasonably priced. On paper, I prefer it over anything in the Bluesound lineup.Enjoy!

I assume the Wiim would be used as a Roon Endpoint, right?
I'm looking for an affordable streamer-only option for a bedroom system (since my iFi Zen has stopped outputting any signal through its S/PDIF coax and has generally been finicky). I would only use it with Roon.

Yes, it appears that all of the Wiim streamers can be used as Roon Endpoins except maybe their most entry model WiiM Mini. These WiiM streamers have their own internal DAC and analog outs so they can drive your preamp directly -OR- you can use your separate outboard DAC as the WiiM streamers additionally have digital outputs.
Amazon has several WiiM products. Crutchfield carries them too.
