Here you go... This one sells for $1500 and has a Raspberry Pi inside... Ticks all your Boxes.....
BTW - I've had Raspberry Pies for over 10 years and use them on a Daily basis... Never had one go Bad - Ever!
Follow Ups:
Regarding a network streamer/transport, I'm concerned that because I don't have a wired network it would necessarily compromise the sound. I might want to use some kind of server instead, either set it up myself with a Pi or purchase something like an Aurender (used). A full-featured music server is basically like having someone do all the tweaking for me and sell it in a ready-to-use package, which is appealing at this point.
Here's why I say I'm concerned the network will compromise the sound. The Zen Stream can function a bit like a primitive server in that you can attach a USB drive and control the ZS from its web UI. So I've gotten to compare the same tracks #1 played off the attached disk #2 streamed via JRiver to the ZS. And it's no contest... it sounds way better playing from the attached drive.
I've done a lot of stuff to enhance the ZS hoping to get good sound as a streamer. I bought a WiFi-to-ethernet converter and I use that to bring the network to the ZS, and turned off the WiFi in the ZS. As I've mentioned previously I'm using it with a pretty good LPS and I put my best power cord on the LPS. (It's a custom cord from this guy in the N.J. Audio Society.) I also put it on damped squash balls to vibration-isolate it.
It got better after the tweaks but I just like how it sounds off the attached drive so much better.
What kind of network do you have? IOW- How do you get your internet connection? You are also suffering quite a bit from Analysis Paralysis. You are spending a lot of time thinking and fretting over 'tweaks'. Right now you should be concentrated on just getting something going. And Inexpensive!
Don't spend a lot of money, as you really don't have a clue of what you're doing. After streaming for a year or so with a raspberry Pi and you understand how it sounds, you'll be in a better position to tweak or spend some money.Personally I can buy whatever piece of Audio Gear that I want. But I am quite happy using a raspberry Pie for a streamer. I see no need to spend money on something I won't be able to hear and line the pockets of people laughing all the way to the bank. I have used a Raspberry PI for over 10 years. I sold all of my expensive CD Players 10 years ago.
Here is a picture of my Audio Room. I don't see a lot lacking here, do you?

I appreciate your help and willingness to get me set up with a Pi, but as far as these statements you are making about me, I can only say that I have a way of doing audio that works for me. As far as paralysis, it was clear enough in the post you are quoting that I have been busy experimenting.
I haven't mentioned that with a better transport I'm getting some shrillness, and I'm trying to figure out where that's coming from. I'd like to understand that better before doing too much more with streamers. I'll post about that on [Digital].
