Its bigger and more of a standard component size than the J2 series. IOW, quite a departure from the original J2 aesthetically. I have the J2/S (4499/Sparkos) and it's excellent. I also have 3 other DAC's, so I'm totally satisfied in this arena. If I were starting out from square one and my DAC budget was in the $1500 range, it would be on the short list. As of now however, I'm basically at a point where discovering new music and listening have taken priority over chasing the unicorn.

  For at least two plus months now. The LTA Aero DAC pretty much the same thing. In defense of both of them, things take time, especially when some of them are out of their control (ex. part suppliers). Frustrating for consumers but perhaps good things come to those who wait.
