"Observing reality is not *parroting* anything."
Perpetuating an ancient 'reality' that someone taught you decades ago is. Sure you can observe that many high-end audio manufacturers use linear power supplies but that does not mean they are 'better' than well designed modern switching supplies. I'm not talking about the cheap wall warts that power most portable electronics. And I'm not saying that all SMPS are better. I'm suggesting that audiophiles open their eyes and ears and get beyond the old marketing myths from 40 years ago that high-end manufacturers still push today - and what old audiophiles still 'parrot' today. Just because you observe many audio manufacturers using LPS doesn't make them better.
Answer me this. What characteristics of linear power supplies make them better than a well designed modern SMPS?
The only LPS that happens to be in my system today is in the preamp.

observing fact is just that - an observation of reality. Do you have difficulty accepting reality? What characteristics of linear power supplies make them better than a well designed modern SMPS?
What's a "well designed modern SMPS"? Maybe I've yet to encounter one. Apparently, the Apple iPad block fails those criteria. The ones I have create a false brightness that obscures musical detail.
So which SMPS do you currently use with the RPi? Couldn't find a description in your gear list. Is that available in 7V?

of your RPi switcher even to mention it. Or answer other questions you ignored.
