make sure your chosen interface is set properly. Primarily for mobile access, they allow you to force a lower setting. At home, I leave it wide open but take advantage of that feature on my phone.
Follow Ups:
That I have everything set to highest bitrate setting. Both on the Qobuz and Wiim mini app. But still only getting 44.1. And yes I am using optical out of Wiim mini into the Topping. Thank you
theoretically limited to 96/24..
Does it show a higher bit rate on your Wiim App?
No it doesn't
You've got a setting wrong somewhere, or you are just selecting 44.1 material... there are playlists in Qobuz that just have 192 material... Try those out.
After contacting Topping, indeed I was given the wrong remote. Huh.
Yes I am selecting Hi Res music from Qobuz.
When streaming through the Wiim mini and app, I can only get 44.1 resolution. Thats what the Topping shows and the app shows on my phone.
When I plug my phone into the USB in connection on my cd player, which goes digital coaxial out to the Topping, and using the Qobuz app, I am able to get Hi Res 24/96 music. It shows it on my phone and it definitely sounds better. BUT-- the Topping still only shows 44.1!
So I don't know what is going on. I am frustrated and this is why I have been putting off the switch from physical media to streaming. I am going to return the Topping and rethink what to do. I would really like to go all streaming so if there are suggestions as to how to best go about it, I am open to all suggestions. Thank you
