In an earlier post I was too quick to form an opinion of Fujita, as Chris very kindly pointed out.
His performance of the Ravel here is amazingly good, the best I've heard, and everything else about this video is outstanding.
The piano, the tuning, and the microphone placement combine to support the performance. His use of the "soft" pedal is audible but not a distraction, and the dynamic range (for YT) is very good. Probably best in 1080; the video defaults to 720.
Follow Ups:
I listened to a couple of tracks from the upcoming DG album of Ravel's Complete Piano Music with Seong-Jin Cho (availability: January 17th on both Apple and Amazon). Only two tracks are available on Apple Music now (first movement of the Sonatine and the first movement of Le Tombeau de Couperin). It's everything I'd been hoping for from Cho, with finesse and clarity replacing his previous reliance on power. Those turns in Le Tombeau are incredibly clean, and, as with so many recent modern piano recordings, the piano tone is outstanding. I hope the rest of the album is as good as the two tracks I heard earlier this evening.
Believe me, I will get to Fujita soon! (BTW, La Valse does not seem to be on Cho's album, although that wouldn't be the first time that work had been omitted from a nominally "complete works" recording.)

Yes - it's coming in at 1080 just fine. I'll listen to all of it tomorrow!
