Those are exactly the ones I purchased and thought they were really excellent. After a few times of switching between other cables and then putting the Valhalla 2 back in one channel is now dead. Something has come undone in one side of the connectors. So as good as they did sound they're now lying in a drawer.

Joe....You have nothing to lose now. Strip back the heat shrink and examine the connections on both ends. Might be a simple matter of retightening the set screws if it's a simple mechanical connection. Or a case where you have to reflow or resolder the connections. Probably why my audio tool box is full of the items needed to make such a repair. Been there, done that.
You're right, Mick, thanks. I will give it a shot and maybe with some luck will get a working pair from my efforts.

Good luck Joe. Hope you can solve the issue.
As luck would have it while marking the cable legs positive and negative today one of the banana plugs slipped off together with the shrink-wrap into my hand. This revealed the end of the bundle of wires which had been soldered together and attached to the connector. Taking a chance I positioned the shrink-wrap/banana plug back onto the wire bundle and pressed firmly so that the two pieces were now rejoined. It works perfectly. I realize I should have applied fresh solder but for now this is working just fine.
Thanks again for your suggestion and encouragement.
Joe
Good to hear. I'd eventually resolder when time permits though. I take it there were no strain relief set screws? If so, the solder connection WAS the strain relief. You might not be able to salvage the Nordost logoed shrink wrap when you resolder, but I think that's the final solution regardless.
