In Reply to: RE: Oyaide Vondita "x" or "xe" power cable ??? posted by AudioLibertarian on September 08, 2024 at 08:29:52
I am still using a total of six Oyaide Vondita X Power Cords. I stand by the comments in my initial post. My perspective has not changed. I have no experience with any Cardas products.

Thanks so much for your reply! Did you start using the Oyaide cables one by one on your components, or just did a system-wide power cables swap at once? If you recall which component power cable change with Oyaide produced the most improvement? Do you feel you have gotten an aggregate benefits from using all Oyiade cables?
I have just ordered my first Vondita, and plan to use it either on dac, or power amplifier, and then depending on how they will sync within my system, will order few more.
Appreciate your insight greatly! Kind regards!
I did a system wide replacement. Therefore it would be difficult to determine on which component the Vondita X made the biggest difference.
I previously had all Analysis Plus Ultimate Power Ovals. I was never satisfied with the Wattgate plastic connectors on those. I could detect leakage with a Klein Tool Voltage Tester.
No such stray radiation is detected with the Oyaide aluminum connectors.
The Analysis Plus were many times the cost of the Vondita X, which, I feel is a real bargain. You will be well pleased.
Thanks for sharing your observations! Yes the Oyaide connectors have the aluminum casing, but what is more important that connectors have Delrin (acetal) casing as the first protective layer . I have DIY-ed a power cord using Oyaide's F1&M1 Delrin connectors , a version of which is used with Vondita, and the resultant sound has proven to be outstanding. That DIY cord piqued my curiosity about what the factory's own Oyaide wire might sound like with these connectors. Will find out next week I hope. Appreciate your feedback greatly! Will post here on the results once it is burned-in.
