True That | I've to wholeheartedly agree.
Follow Ups:
I know you have moved on to other cables, but I purchased the Gold Odin 2 speaker cables a while back and finally put them into my system. I know they need break in, but they sound dry compared to the Valhalla you have pictured above.
The Valhalla 2 gets much better over time! I have mine since I first posted about it here and never took it off my system.
I found it sounding so much better on High efficiency setup than any cables I tried before including 14 ga solid wire transformer winding with just lacquer varnish as insulation (ala Anti-Cables). In fact the V2 sounded more "complete" to me than my original Nordost Blue Heaven Rev II SC.Disclaimer: I use Hagerman Fry Kleaner and "burn" the cables for many hours before inserting it in my system for the first time. To me, it's not the wire that is important in cooking the cable but the insulation dielectric.

+1. A cable "cooker" is a nice item to have in your toolbox.
Hey Eric,
I read over on A'Gon | Head-Fi where many stated the Valhalla 2 was the much much better sounding SCs, some seem to like the Odin Gold as well. I plan on keeping my Valhalla 2s, even though it'll be awhile before they're placed into the system | I still have hope for them.
The ones I placed into the photo are a Grey Knight design, as listed here:

I have a 2.5M pair of the Valhalla 2 and the Odin Gold (not Odin Gold 2) and enjoy both. The Valhalla 2 are a little leaner and the Odin more full-bodied but not a huge difference just noticeable but that's it. They seem about the same in terms of detail and soundstaging. The Odin Gold at just under USD$100 was a heckuva lot cheaper than the Valhalla 2 at USD$250 but both are well worth their asking price IMHO.

My thoughts exactly. They are both great cables but the Odin 2 gold is more full bodied and I like them both. I can be happy with either one.
I have settled on the Chinese Valhalla also, after trying a couple others including Tempo Electric solid silver.

Allan,
I can honestly respect your decision to keep it, as have I..., of which I take seriously seeing as there have been to many folks which have praised it for far to long, which in my mind means it's more than worthy of ownership.
Went back to the Valhalla's. The highs were rolled off on the Odin 2 Gold.
I sort of read between the line on the Odin types, and decided to stay put with the Valhalla 2s, even if they've never made it into the system..., they'll remain as part of my growing stash of cables | cords for a reason. As I chose believe there's something to them.
