I must have about 300 hours on them now, lost count, but they are just sweet sounding now. Very smooth with no glare or brightness whatsoever.
No tizzyness in the treble or brightness in the midrange which was my fear being they are silver plated.
Just nice treble, smooth midrange and strong bass. The other White Draws pair I have was good also but the Valhallas are more dynamic, detailed with stronger bass.
Follow Ups:
I want to try these out. What AliExpress seller did you use?
I got mine from the Hifi Store, on AliExpress.
I just ordered a 2 meter pair of the Valhalla 2 speaker wires...can't wait to get them in.
Novus Ordo Seclorum
This will strictly depend on what you have in place already. In my case, neither the Odin Gold or Odin II IC's could beat any of my current single ended IC's. But I'll quickly add that these include Shindo, Hapa and Moray James IC's. Any one of these would be a minimum of 8X the cost of a Chinese Odin if not a great deal more. In regard to phono apps, The Odin Gold IC I tried was not shielded and hummed as one would expect. Not sure if a dedicated shielded phono IC is available or not. So in summary, every case will be different, but they're certainly worth a try as many here have had great success.
On a more positive note, I've really enjoyed a 3M Odin Gold XLR ( DAC to pre-amp) and the Odin Gold power cable on my DAC. And I also can't help but mention the Chinese Valhalla speaker cable. ( which physically looks almost identical to the real Nordost Heimdall 2 at roughly $2300) This cable sounds superb especially after a lengthy break-in. But truth be told, I bought a version from an ebay vendor in China and not AliExpress. Looks identical to the AliEx version but with a different type of banana plug. Of course there was no mention of Nordost or Valhalla in the ebay ad as one would expect. So in summary, most of the Chinese Odin, etc. are worth a gamble at the prices they're offered, but it's still a gamble.

Much like M,
While I've pairs of the Odin 2 standard RCA | XLR and Odin Gold RCA IC's, none of them have been in my system for more than 2-3 tracks, as my pure silver Yannis Tome Connect222 Litz IC's have won my heart in more ways than one | simply match my preferences so well, I'm very very very reluctant to remove them.
Yet can proudly say, at least I was willing to purchase them for future endeavors.
Up next. Zavfino Fusion MK ll's.

It sounds great, but the tubing is stiff and as a result, not easy to maneuver in tight places. Overall, I think it is better than my knock off Kimber Cable PBJ's, and my old Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 in sound. I tried it as a line level and phono level cables and prefer line level applications.

I was thinking of trying them myself but I hate stiff cables. I'm using one of the Odin USB cables and it is also stiff and my Raspberry Pi being as small and light as it is doesn't stay in place. I don't like having my cables tell me where I can put components.
I'm using heavy doorstops / door blockers (not sure how those are called in English) made of steel and rubber, about 3 pounds each, on top of my smallest components to stop the heavy stiff cables from lifting them. Additionally they damp vibrations (I use three on top of my CD transport).

I wouldn't want to do anything like that. I've been impressed with my DIY silver cables from VH Audio so maybe I'll do another pair of those. They are flexible but not cheap even for DIY.

A Bliss,
Nice follow up | way to keep this going, as I've noticed the thread on said AliExpress cables have reached page 118 over on Head-Fi, where it seems the kids are continuing to move forwards with these cables.
My pair of said Valhalla SCs, haven't made it into the system yet..., as I've never been the type to change things out until months, if not a year later | yet continue to purchase items mainly because I know what they're | have to bring to the table, so knowing I've a few boxes worth of cables only adds to the glory of one day, I'll be able to sit back and enjoy them as well.
Yet, as said matters of plating on one's choices of banana plugs go, other than gold plating, has anyone here giving any thought of experimenting with rhodium plated versions?, as I've yet to buy a set | but am very interested in trying them, as I've noticed one of these young men over on Head-Fi opt for them on a pair of pure silver SCs and had me think to myself, " what if? ".
@amandarae
I have the Nordost Blue Heaven also in my system. Can you tell me what this cable is doing better? Maybe I will buy this 'Valhalla' for Christmas.
The midrange has more weight and body while maintaining the fast top-end is my observation.
I concur. Just plays "bigger" yet finer detail remains intact.
Thank you for your response. It sounds promising. I will check this cable. Is Nordost just crazy expensive or are these replicas the normal price for this kind of technology.
Metallurgy and purity/quality of insulation material comes to play too!
I also forgot to mention, I can confirm that the fake Valhalla SC has better low bass (deeper and more weight I believe) than the Nordost Blue Heaven Rev.2 speakers that I have when I compared them to each other in my system.

I have the Chinese "Odin" speaker cables an love them. They don't look, even remotely, like the real deal as they are not even flat (!) but to my ears they sound great. Burn-in was a PITA though.
I wonder how these Valhallas would compare. They are cheaper, but they respect the geometry chosen by Nordost for their genuine cable...
They are the main reason I didn't get the Odin.
Yes, they do. And even better is that they are better hidden than the cables they replaced because they are flat. They run along the white baseboards and can barely be seen, and it didn't even require work to do it. They just naturally stood up against it, no fasteners involved.

Yes they look good against the baseboard, here is mine, I just sit them behind the cable ties that held the old cables. The White Draws pair I tried before looked even better as they are a white color, but the Valhalla sounds better.
And mine has the stock RCA's. My Nordost Blue Heaven rev. 2 is now officially in storage.
Yes great cable
