The volume potentiometer on my Plinius 9200 is making noises. I want to have it replaced. But by looking at the structure of the amp it is not an easy job. My amp is still in 10/10 condition so I don't want to take the risk.Anyone knows the parts number and how to remove it? Or you have a service manual or you know a good shop in NNJ can do it right.
Thank you.

I will contact Plinius and go from there.
According to the owner's manual.
Looks tricky to access the potentiometer to clean with the top off. Not sure what the sides or bottom look like?
Otherwise I'd hazard a guess that the volume knob on the front is held on by a set screw. If you remove the knob from the shaft you'll likely find the potentiometer assembly is held in place by a hex nut against the faceplate/chassis. Seeing the slack in those wires I'll take another guess that if you remove the hex nut the whole potentiometer assembly can be pushed into the unit slightly to clear the faceplate. Once loose you might be able to get to the pot for cleaning.
Beautiful looking unit. I'd be sweating and holding my breathe taking my tools to it.
Good luck!

separate potentiometer board, but I assume soldered joints sound better.
Still, it's one tiny board to deal with, which is a good thing.
It's an integrated amplifier.
With the amp off, rotate the volume knob all the way from left to right about 20 times. That might solve the problem. Also can you access the pot itself? You might check to see if there are slots on the pot that you could spray some Deoxit into.

holy crap.
not much room in there. Little room to spray some Deoxit into it until you get it repaired but if you can, spray some in there on the bench until you can send it out and get it repaired
Good luck!
Yikes, looking at that picture it could be tricky to replace. I'm going to assume that the volume pot is on the small board on the right. You would have to remove that board and see how the VC is mounted and connected under it.
Plinius is still in business, and offers downloadable docs for some products.
Looks like you may need to send an email to them for your unit / component.
Give it a try, they may also have a recommended shop in your area.
(see linky below)In another posting in OTL, an inmate listed this company [ https://highendaudiorepair.com/amplifiers ] who have Plinius listed as units they serve -
I realize that Brooklyn is not in NJ, but it is closer than Christchurch...
