Hello!
Where can I get battery power supply for 24v and which is used for power up a preamp?
Thanks!

Another option is to use a switching PS with DC filter instead. I use this in several projects from Pass Labs and very happy! I am not affiliated with DIY Audio or its store.
What preamp? What cawson@onetel.com said but be warned that batteries for audio gear can be a pain in the ass to deal with unless you enjoy that sort of thing.
I ran a couple 12v batteries in series on a phono preamp. Meh. It was fun but it's not like audio manufacturers go out of their way to make crappy power supplies. Using batteries or a linear power supply of one's choice is popular among audiophiles because it is brain dead simple. And if you do such a thing you MUST hear a difference or you just admitted to yoursel that it was a waste of time.
But who knows... if your present power supply can be improved on a set of batteries might be better.

So are you saying that modern switch mode power supplies don't produce unwanted noise? They sure used to.

I didn't say anything about switch mode power supplies in my post. My Graham Slee phono preamp came with the PSU1 linear supply.

But since you brought it up, as G Squared said, it depends on the power supply. Some of the quietest measured preamps and amps use switch mode power supplies. [P.S. Not all switch mode power supplies are cheap wall warts]

All depends on the design and application.

You could use 2 x 12 V batteries in series to get your 24 volts. I have used Yuasa batteries in similar situations, though I doubt you'll get any sound benefit if the preamp's power supply is of good design. You don't need big capacity batteries as a preamp will draw very little from them.
I used to own a Red Wine Signature 30.2 power amp that had 2 small batteries inside its case and this was enough for several hours of use.
Some people are under what I consider the misconception that battery B+ can't be improved upon.
Similar to you and Abe, I also tried two large capacity 12 V motorcycle batteries in series to run my 24 V Graham Slee phono stage. Having read that batteries produce 'chemical noise' during discharge, I attached a pre-charged (to 24 VDC) 54,000 uF capacitor across the output of the batteries powering the Slee, and the sound quality improved over the batteries by themselves.
Once Slee replaced the defective power supply I received, I tried it and noticed no difference either way, over the batteries and capacitor.
