It didn't look that bad when everything was black, but yes, I have thought about it before, but it's the UBP-X1100ES, the last universal player Sony made. Plays SACD, DVD audio and everything else.
I hardly even use it, but just keep it incase I decide to watch one of my old DVDs, or play a SACD.
I came close to replacing it with a Cambridge CXC transport, but when the Cambridge came the draw wouldn't even open, so it went back.

I think Sony still makes Universal players.

Yes but none of those has RCA analog output. You can only play SACD through the hdmi to a AV processor or the TV. Not even sure that they play DVD audio. The UBP-X1100ES is the last full featured one and it was only available for a short period.
