You had a recommendation for the X1-HOMC. You can get the fine line stylus X5-HOMC for under $200 delivered. This cart has nice bass and treble extension compared to the Super OM-30 which is the plain MM with fine line stylus. I had an X1 but it was gone before I got the X5 so I can't make a direct comparison except to say that the X1 was more of a rock-n-roll cart and the X5 is more well rounded. I have the X5 paired with a Hagerman Bugle. You can build the Bugle for about $150 with power supply or get it already built for about $275. I don't think there are a lot of combinations under $350 that compete with it.I like detail. If you are more into a fat mid-range, forget I said it.
