1. DL-103, primarily because it has the midrange "reality" I seek. You do need a phono stage that can handle a LO MC or a step up transformer.
2. Ortofon 540MKII, a close winner over the 440MLa. It is better in the mids and smoother overall.
3. AT0-440MLa. The best budget (under $100) cart you can buy. Does everything at least competently.
