congratulations on the nicely crafted video presentation.
I humbly admit I was out of line when I criticized the clean a record channel content because it focused on what I considered inferior methods to ultrasonic cleaning. I apologize here.
I didn't fully realize how you tube worked , but more importantly , attached my personal views as a reason to act like a big shot. I lost perspective that record cleaning is not that big of a deal, some don't do it at all. it's not like a big hand will come down out of the sky and slap someone around if things aren't done my way, and I was trying to prevent that.
From the video , the degritter 2 looks to have covered all the bases.
When I figured the degritter was a state of the art design, I checked into buying one , but the price cooled my enthusiasm , along with the fact that the only way to buy one would be to travel to an audio salon, who suggested an appointment , in downtown Los Angeles . nobody who lives in the Los Angeles area willing goes to downtown LA without a very compelling reason. Glad to see it now has better marketing, I think a lot of potential customers will appreciate that.
I have to eat some crow here, because I had a publicly expressed a personal policy to avoid buying non essential items, and others whenever possible, from china, especially audio equipment.
however, I was kicking around online checking out the improved version of the humming guru machine and saw a little box suggesting that I could buy it with credit card points. no cash out of pocket for something I really desired sounded good to me, so I jumped on it, plus accessories.
it was only a couple of days later that , once the dopamine hit from buying something wore off, I realized I had just stomped on a slight personal moral decision. I don't mind a low price, but also realize I was not supporting the type of society that enabled me to buy the thing in the first place. In fact , I just done the opposite . one can hardly call a nation practicing bombing runs on outlines of american aircraft carriers, with munitions materials made by slaves, a good friend.
