along with my friend Cal (who lived in Valencia CA then), we had made some selections and had came to the front and he BARKED at me loudly for touching his beloved JBL Hartsfield speaker setting there in the front of the SHOP. Cal asked if he could get a little discount because he was going to buy the five or so LPs in his had.

THAT triggered the bastard into a tirade and he immediately threw us out of the SHOP. He went so far at to herd us out the back door from which we entered. Needless to say neither of us ever returned and frequently informed any and all of our record buying friends about the incident.

decades before, a friend, Lynne Aase had just read a Harry Pearson article where he recommended a particular disc. Lynne went to Record Collector SHOP and bought the record hp had been touting. after the schmuck owner read about that record he tried his damnedest to get Lynne to trade it back to him, knowing that he had sold it to Lynne for a song. Lynne never gave him that satisfaction of returning for ANY amount.

i never considered returning for any reason whatsoever.
