RE: It's Best to Inspect

Like all things, it is gradual and you will probably not notice it even if the wear is there. Best to do a visual inspection of the ball bearng AND the thrust plate.

If the bearing (ball and/or plate) is worn and you do not notice it, when it is made new again, you will notice the improvement.

When my worn ball bearing and plate were changed to a ceramic bearing and saffire thrust plate I surely noticed the difference.

And yes, the oil should be chnged on a regualr basis. High viscosity is a good idea.
