So you probably better ask someone else :-)I never knew from drain wires when I started this PC-building odyssey with "The Asylum Power Cord," which uses Belden 19364 as the cable. The instructions were to attach the drain wire to the ground at the AC plug, so I did so. Seemed logical. Then a friend bought some of the same PCs ready made from RAM Electronics and I noted that they attached the drain wire at the AC end too. So I was a little nonplussed to read that I was doing this all wrong.
I queried Lee at CryoParts about whether he had experimented with this on their CryoMax III and he said that, yes, he had. He found they sounded a little different but that he preferred it (the drain wire) at the plug end.
As for how it sounds attached at BOTH ends, I don't want to know.
