Be careful with too much Flavor 4, that's a ton of copper cabling...I often e-mail Chris to pick his brain, seems like every time I mention Flavor 4 he responds with 'Do you have 20 amp outlets & gear?' which leaves me with the impression its really meant for the big current stuff.
the unshielded twisted pair is ridculously good, try it on a source and amp, do the 4 from the wall.... Only buy Chris' tubing too. I bought a DIY Flavor 2 not long ago with the Orange HD tubing, it sucks big time. I have 2 identical cables except for the tubing, its crazy but the right stuff sounds better.
best bet is to ask Chris for advice, he always quite helpful.
I just realized I have to make up a Flavor 2 tonight for new monoblocks tonight...such a hassle with the p-079 male plugs....furu's ass end is SO much better for big cables. Probably another reason i'm sticking with the Fi-11 Ag iec ends...
the best part of all this is you can do it bit-by-bit, paycheck-by-paycheck. took me about 2 yrs to complete it all, wasn't a painful process whatsoever. Get the cryo'd swo-xxx at the wall and just work back from it...you'll get a feel real quick for what male plugs and cabling works best.
With the final Flavor 2 i'm making, it completes my eradication of DH Labs Power Plus AC cabling in my system. Its OK, just boring.
