Hi kenster, no problem.No. The transformer is the same as it ever was. I seem to remember reading somewhere that if you replace the center bolt of the transformer with a non-ferrous one (bronze or even nylon), there were some pluses to be heard. This is a VERY hazy and unreliable memory, so I'd have a pinch of salt handy if you want to try it out.
