Plug the choke into the remaining open receptacle.I think your Q about the primary and secondary is in reference to discussions on the choke application when using a transformer based power conditioner. A transformer has a primary and secondary side. If you don't use such a PC, then just plug the choke into the open receptacle into which your component plugs.
