Well, I now have over 400 hours of burn in on this Ultimo version of the SWO-XXX Oyaide outlet.
Have to say that until yesterday I thought that it was detailed and full spectrum, but kind of dry. No other explanatory term seemed to describe its sound. Not bad, but not necessarily an improvement on overall balance over the old SWO-XXX.
Yesterday I changed my mind! The bass had really kicked in, and somehow the HF and mids also seemed suddenly full and balanced. Now it sounds like an improvement overall on the original SWO-XXX outlet. It's now a "keeper".
This reminds me once again of the wisdom of burning things in before making a judgement and of how overall balance of freqs is affected by changes in any one part of the range. Hmmmm....
