Hi mattcecil1@yahoo.com,What I'm saying is, if a stock unit's connection method involves an inferior quick-disconnect connector (like the one shown in the image), I prefer to solder the connection rather than continue to use a quick-disconnect connector. If a connection method involves a superior clamping plate or set screw method, I prefer to use those methods rather than solder the connection.
For example: Many folks choose to directly solder their commercial loudspeaker's internal wiring from the x-over to the driver's input tabs instead of continuing to use the often used by manufacturers quick-disconnect connectors. They find quick-disconnect connectors to sound inferior to a good solder joint.
