as Spica woofers were matched to the x-overs pretty carefully and the woofers aren't available anymore anyway.I would try to gently heat with steam the area of the ring glued to the surround and try to remove it that way. I certainly would not use any solvents other than water which if the repair was made with most glues will be water soluble.
The rings are not necessary so if you can get it off I would not reattach it.
