came across the same problem recently. The local Ikea store told me that all Lacks have hollow legs, but I'm not sure this was accurate. Anyway, I had already purchased the black Lacks and like that colour, so I came up with buying 1 3/4" dowels - put them into the legs, make your cutting mark, put a wood screw in the bottom to act as your level adjuster/"spike".Don't know if this version of a Lack rack will perform as well as the Ken Lyon/Neuance Lack recipe, but it's inexpensive and from what I understand the magic of the Lack is in the tabletop
