ending in a baffle, the accepted "extra" length is one radius. For a square port, you could either use the radius of the equivalent circular area. For a high aspect ratio rectangular port, I would use 1/2 the small dimension. It is all just a guess. The "correct" to tune a port is to measure the impedance as a funtion of frequency. the port tuning is at the minimum point between the two maximums.Jim N
