I just got four Hex Freds to upgrade the 1N5408 diodes in my AES PH-1 phono stage.
These Hex Freds are very different physically, they have what seems to be a flat mounting bracket on each one, with a hole in it.Do I have to mount them using that bracket?
Do they have to be positioned any special way?
and can I solder directly to those little legs? they look like they should be pluged into something.Thanks very much for any help.
