Like the other posters, I build up the outside diameter of the cable to have a snug fit inside the barrel of the RCA plug. I usually use a bit of cable jacket that I strip from another cable. I think that Audioquest Type 4 makes for a good fit. I have lots of odds and ends kicking around, so I just find the one that gives the tighest fit.Regards,
