Once the cause of the problem is understood, solutions that actually work soon follow. Impedance mismatches for signals that are experiencing transmission line effects, makes perfect sense. After realizing there is a problem related to high frequency standing waves on the line it seems clear that your attempts to eliminate impedance mismatches makes alot of sense.It just feels so much better using a solution like impedance matching over what I had proposed, the inline inductor, which is more or less a filter.
I still want to grab a piece of this stuff for experimentation reasons though.
