That link is not what Jack claims, and may not be how jack employs the nanotubes. If you read Jack's website he sort of avoids the use of the word nanotubes.He simply states carbon fiber...

No, he doesn't simply state "carbon fiber." He (or his accountant, or his gardener, or whoever the hell's writing his website copy these days who can be made the scapegoat for all the bullshit on it) says "carbon fiber and nanotechnology." And Curl himself said "Jack does use nanotubes in some of his really exotic designs..."

Also, some of Bybee's dealers specifically refer to carbon nanotubes as does Dick Olsher, who was mentioned in this thread previously.

Yes, I do give credit van den Hul for being the first to sell sparkplug wires to audiophiles. :)

No, given the specific use of the term "carbon nanotubes" by his dealers as well as those close to him, I think my buzzword speculation still holds water.


C'mon Steve, you disagree with Jack's explanation, no problem. If you haven't tried it, and are speculating, that's like others criticizng you for your choice of material for your cables.

Let me put it this way. I simply haven't any respect for those who resort to feeding people bullshit in the course of selling something and don't have any problem having a bit of fun at their expense.
