Yes, they work, exceptionally well IF you know how to apply them

There is a learning curve here... they are best in digital applications with a steady current draw... they are weakest in high, fluctuating current demand situations...they can work well in line level audio if you have either low enough output impedence or high enough input impedence so the input side isn't acting as a current drain... best applied as a DIY part... would probably excel between a voltage regulator and a digital chip... said to reduce Eddy current.... chortle...
