RE: Beautiful amp!

The trannies were Hammonds 150RP (potted) 100W 5000ct

The build started in 2004. It was Fred's design...we sent it to James Burgess to build with Fred overseeing it and eventually having to make correction in order to have it work. But, we sent it to Burgess to lower my costs. It would have been much more expensive if Fred had to do the labor, which involved over 50 hours. It was his way of giving me a very high-end amp at a conservative price for my 65th birthday. I paralleled that with his Erato preamp which we upgraded 2 or 3 times It is essentially the same amp design that went into his dual Vita amps. He had developed a circuitry that he felt produced a superior sound,.. and it did. The frame was made from Koa. I can't tell you how many hours of joy and inner peace it has brought me...but when we moved into the woods of CT, the hobby...the fests... and the purchase of the AMR DAC... the need to upgrade, keep in front of the game no longer a need....I had in an audio system what I always dreamed to have thanks to Fred...and now I could just be with the music... which it is really all about for me... I'm eternally grateful to him for this awesome amp.

In music as in life... one is always on the learning curve
