Others here have obviously never had their grubby paws on any pinched waist valves before :( Pinched waist valves were mainly produced in the 1950's , I have only seen E182CC/7119 from the Dutch factories and from Philip's US Amperex plant . I am 99.9% sure that pinched waist 7119/E182CC will be from Eindhoven manufacture . Look on the base between the pins for markings , the 'etch' marking is usually red or black ink . I don't know what all the fuss is about regarding these valves , for instance PW E88CC are one of the most expensive 6DJ8 out there but are also microphonic . For the insane few who think a different shaped getter or funny shaped mica makes a better sounding valve
