I agree. Never heard the 3-mica Raytheons though mine are all 2-mica. Maybe I'll stumble on a pair sooner or later. Funny, I favor the European ECC32/CV181 and ECC35 to US 6SN7 and 6SL7 types in my gear by a long shot. But...in 12au7's those early American types are always the best.cheers,
