The 5755 is closer to the 6SL7, except for slightly higher heater current. Note that the the 5755 has a different pinout than the 12AX7. The 5755 was designed as a premium-service DC amplifier tube, with tight specs on grid current. There seem to be a lot of surplus Raytheon 5755's available from the usual vendors.
