Howdy, I think a lot of people have perhaps been slightly mislead, thinking that the secret ticket to great sound will be the switch from a 12AX7, to 5751.As probably from somebody as experienced, as Jim McShane, or Kevin Deal, you will find in certain instances, this will not necessarily be the case.
We've probablyvall heard the story, as how Stevie Ray Vaughan's best kept secret, was 5751 Tubes in his Amps, and this might be very well true.
This won't necessarily mean, that 5751's will be the best choice in your Jolida Tube CD Player, or Amp.
Do a search, and read what Jim says, and he sums it up quite professionally.
Even the same two Jolida CD Players owned by different people will have a different sound, and ultimately, personal tastes vary too.
What you might call a very detailed Tube, with great high end extension, I might call a murderous tube that literally is going to send me to the audiologist in no time flat.
I recommend dealing with folks such as Jim, or Kevin to help you make the very best of choices with your own particular equipment.
If you have sampled a particular Tube, which you do not care for, these folks will be better able to help you make a better choice.Neither folks are dummies, that's for sure, and for folks like you, and me, they can help us make the wisest decisions, and help us lessen the waste of our hard earned dollars.
