Hey Micheal,While I also swear by DeOxit and use it to clean tube pins/sockets I then spray them off with an electronics cleaner that doesn't leave any residue - the cheap auto parts store electronics cleaner works as well as the parts house variety. DeOxit is great for controls cuz it leaves a lubricating film. Unfortunately on a tube socket that film can collect conductive dust which then creates a carbon trace. I've never seen this happen where I could specifically trace it to DeOxit but I have with other cleaner/lubes. And of course this is more of a problem with output tubes as the voltages are higher.
Again, I like the stuff but not left on tube sockets/pins.
