As the (exceedingly) proud owner of a five-year-old daughter, I have to disagree that infants are in any way safe. Contrary to what "scientists" would have you believe, children do not thrive by consuming food, water, and air. Rather, like carp they simply expand to fill any and all available space. Worse, they increase their vitality by sucking the life out of adults. (This, by the way, neatly explains the aging process, as well as the fact that my friends who opt to live "lifestyles of the rich and childless" are so much less tired at the end of the day.)
