don't discount what the cost of living was 40-50 years ago. the minimum wage in the mid '50's-'60's was between $1.00- $1.25/hr.To equal the same buying power today it would have to be somewhere near $10/hr if not more.That matched pair of Genelex KT 88 would be more than half a weeks pay at the minimum wage!! So $250/matched pair of Genelex KT 88's now really isn't more costly than it was then.If you could ever find a pair new that is.
