I recently picked up a Lumley ST70 Reference power amp only to discover on closer listening that one channel was slightly quiter than the other one and have traced this back to one output transformer. Lumley have told me they would have to get a new one custom made to replace it at the cost of £300 which seems quite high compared to other transformers I have purchased. Any suggestion if there are any other approaches to this problem? Would appreciate any advice.
