It is unfortunate what's going on with the NOS market in 6922s.
I have an aversion to the Sovtek and it's big brother EH.
There are some West German Siemans Rohrer which are fairly abundant. I like this tube a lot for the money. Still not as inexpensive as a Sovtek. It's a very good clean tube with much better tonal balance than the Sovtek IMHO. They were made up to the 80s. They not colored have the transparency to yield much better staging.
See if you like what you get, but don't hesitate to get better tubes there are still some around for less than the utterly ridiculous prices the most well recognized tubes are fetching. I wouldn't be afraid to get something for a little more money for such a fine and expensive pre.
