Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I have a VK5i coming my way soon. Yes of course it has the stock Sovteks. It seems NOS tubes have gone thru the roof for Amperex etc... Is there a tube out there that does not cost $100 or more per tube that sounds as good or close to NOS? I have talked with Upscale briefly and he has Russian 6H23 Types 2 and 3 for $25 and $30 per tube. Are these any good or compare? It looks like Joe's Tube Lore says the Russians are a tad better than Sovteks. Please advise :)Sam
