Hi Dave,With speakers rated at 84.5 dB, you will need an amp with 128 wpc to produce a sound level of 99 dB at a normal listening distance of 3 meters. This does not account for other sound robbing factors such as room acoustics, age of components, headroom to insure good dynamic range and the distortion that starts to creep in to your sound when amps are driven past 60% of their rated power.
