Jerry,Thanks for all the great feedback. I was able to contact Pacific Valve & Electric Company and they felt their Yaqin with the one 6DJ8 tube sounded more musical and refined than my MF x-10v3! So I ended up ordering one and I will post my comparison once I receive the Yaqin. Also asked them about the Yaqin with two 6J1 tubes and still they felt the one tube Yaqin was better. Noticed that the 6J1 tube is hard to find a replacement vs. the 6DJ8 tube. Like you, I wasn't sure adding something into the chain would make it better, but after adding the MF, it sure makes my system sing!
