gold lion kt-88 reissue report

I have been using these tubes for about a week and a half in a primaluna prologe 2. These are the new sensor reissue of the gold lion kt88. They very nice look tubes with some "heft" to them. I plugged them in and let them burn for 3 days before I listened. Prior to these tubes I have tried the stock shugang kt88-98, the penta kt88sc solid plate, sed kt-88 and eh kt-88. I also tried many el-34's but my speakers love kt-88s. my first impressions were smooth, the tubes were smooth as silk with nice warmth not a warm as the sed kt88 (which I find to warm with a loose bottom and rolled of top). the GL have very nice detal with a nice tight bottom end that was also full, the top end was very smooth and extented. I was thinking to my self wow these are nice but I want to listen more. The best way I can compare them to a tube already on the market is a penta kt88sc's warmth and soundstage with more air on top and a more controled base and more deail through out the whole spectrum. The GL have great balance top to bottom with great depth and soundstage. They are a little pricey right now since they are new to the market so far they are a home run in my book. Please if you get them let them burn in for a while before making a decision on these tubes. people see the three oval holes in the plates and think "these must be relabled EH tubes" not even close. So far these are my favorites so far and I have been a tube rolling junkie for years these are staying in...thats my 2 cents enjoy
