Forget the "Gold Elite"! They were just poorly gold pin plated standard Ei tubes. I found no evidence to support the claim made that they were specially selected, etc. I did find the plating was often too thick to allow the tube to enter the socket!While the 6DJ8 and 6922 are often interchanged do be aware the 6922 has significantly higher plate voltage specs.
And in the case of Ei, it's pretty much a moot point since they've shut down.
