6922/6DJ8/E88CC/ECC88 tube choice

Hi all. I have a Musical Fidelity X-Can V3 headphone amplifier which I used with my Sennheiser HD-650s. In stock form it is very good (uses JAN 6922's I believe), but I have heard that tube-rolling can have a profound (positive) influence. What I would be looking for is something detailed, crisp, dynamic, and with life. Definitely NOT something warm or dark or rolled off.

I have researched the topic and have found numerous (often conflicting) suggestions. Two things to bear in mind is that 1) I want to see if I can make do with what is locally available before looking into importing here to South Africa; and 2) I do not want to go overboard and look into NOS tubes at $50+ each etc.

I can get the following locally:
- Sovtek 6922
- Ei 6DJ8EG (worried about QC/reliability though)
- 6922EH (I believe Sovtek-made, Electro Harmonix labeled)
- Svetlana 6N1P (cheapest - about 30% less then tubes above)
- Mullard, Philips ECC88 (most expensive - about 50% more than others)

Any suggestions/advice? Which of the above would be good to go for?
